We are experienced in all aspects of electrical work that can be undertaken in the home including:

  • Fuse board (consumer unit) upgrades
  • Full or part rewires
  • Extra sockets
  • Internal lighting
  • Smoke alarms
  • Garden power / lighting
  • To test current electrics and provide an Electrical Installation Condition Report (introduced January 2012)

Where possible, one of our team will meet with you to discuss your requirements and we will then provide a written quotation, which we aim to make as competitive as possible. We prefer to be up front with our quotes so that there are no surprises! All quotes are provided free of charge.

On 1 January 2005 the Government introduced Part P of the Building Regulations which aims to improve electrical safety in the home and reduce the number of accidents caused by faulty electrical work.

To comply with this law all householders must ensure that they either use a Part P registered electrician or notify your local Building Control office (and pay the appropriate fee) before starting any electrical work. The only exceptions are minor works such as replacing electrical accessories such as ceiling roses or light switches.

We are Part P approved through the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme (Registration no. 500475-000). The NICEIC was set up in the 1950’s and is the UK’s leading independent voluntary electrical regulatory body, maintaining a register of some 20,000 Approved Contractors and Domestic Installers.

To enrol with the NICEIC there are strict safety standards, codes of practice and qualifications that we must fulfil. Furthermore for your continued peace of mind our work is regularly inspected to ensure standards are maintained.

We are able to self certify the work and via the NICEIC notify the Local Authority Building Control who will also send you a certificate. All notified work has the benefit of being insurance backed for six years.
